Guyana Industrial Minerals Inc. (GINMIN), a subsidiary of First Bauxite LLC, is a natural resources company engaged in the exploration and development of bauxite deposits in Guyana.

We aspire to be one of the world’s leading high-quality bauxite companies. Our purpose is to create value for our shareholders through the mining, processing and marketing of bauxite.

GINMIN is committed to not only its workforce, but also to the Sand Hills community. We want to provide opportunities to our workers and contracted employees so they can grow to their full potential. Our employees will have the option to learn, take on new skills, and grow within the company. Investing in the Guyanese people is something we strive to accomplish, and to that end, we have committed that over 96% of the workforce will be Guyanese.

With our operation we want to make sure we are a partner with Sand Hill so they can thrive. In order to further this goal GINMIN has committed nearly $1 Million to:

  • a modern air conditioned and soundproof school building where students can learn without hearing the mine

  • contributed $45,000 to a new church building

  • promised $54,000 in scholarships and student assistance for the children in the community over 15 years

  • help with a potable water supply and electric reticulation
